Can I add more Bitcoin to the card?

Yes, but we don't encourage it. The cards are secure but not designed to hold large amounts of wealth. Perfect for small amounts like a gift, not for keeping your live savings.

If you follow the link on the card, however, you'll see a verify page, where the current value is printed. This page also has instructions on how to get more bitcoin on the card.

Will I get rich? When can I buy my Lamborghini?

If you want to own Bitcoin in order to get rich, a gift-card is probably not the right solution. You'll need to know about investing, trading forex, and all the laws and tax-laws around that.

Post-a-coin gift-cards are designed to securely hold small amounts of Bitcoin, not large wealths. They are not designed as invesment-platform.

That said, Bitcoin has great potential, but also a great risk. The €15 on the card might very well become €22 at some point. Or drop to €7; We don't know, nor advise about this at all.

The value of the Bitcoin on the card, however, will increase and decrease in value, depending on the global Bitcoin markets.

How do you calculate the amount of Bitcoin to put on the card?

When purchasing the Bitcoin for your postcard, we used a weighted average price. This can differ from the price you see on a specific exchange.

I don't find any card design I like. Do you have other designs?

We are just getting started and getting more designs into the shop is on the top of our TODO-list.

You could subscribe to our newsletter to get notified when we have new designs. Or you can contact us with specific requests for designs. We'd love to hear what you want to see in the shop!

I'm a designer. Can I get my designs on here?

Sure! Just leave us a message and we can figure out the details. And psst: We can pay you in Bitcoin; cool huh?

What is a private key?

A private key, with Bitcoin, is the key that allows you to spend the bitcoin "on that key". Each private key can hold Bitcoin.

If you know a private key, you can spend all the Bitcoin "on that key". This is why we secure the private key with a scratch sticker. Once the private key is revealed, anyone who sees it, can use it to move the bitcoin off the card.

Do you offer other cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin?

No. We take security and ownership very serious and the flow to generate and print the private keys is complex and hard to "get right". Doing that for other currencies other than Bitcoin makes it much harder for us to keep that security right.

Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum or Monero do allow so-called "paper wallets", but we cannot yet print them in a secure way on our postcards.

Highly centralized Cryptocurrencies such as Ripple or Libra don't even allow printing your private key, so offering these as postcards is technically impossible. And we refuse to offer a product in which you are not the owner of your coins, which would be the case with these centralised cryptocurrencies.
